Walter Stein

President & Chief Executive Officer
As President and CEO, Walter Stein leads the executive team at Dyaptive and works closely with the Board of Directors to define Dyaptive’s strategic direction. Prior to taking the helm at Dyaptive, Mr. Stein operated a consulting company helping European technology start-ups develop business plans, marketing strategies and sales channels in North America and Asia. He was a founder and C.E.O. of IDACOM Electronics, a manufacturer of telecom protocol testing equipment. Mr. Stein positioned that company as the leader in the emerging protocol conformance testing market and sold it in 1990 to Hewlett Packard. Mr. Stein has founded and led several successful high tech startups in Canada and Europe; his 25 years of CEO experience in the high tech industry is supplemented by senior leadership roles at Siemens AG and Hewlett Packard. Mr. Stein holds a degree in engineering physics.

John Linton, PhD

Vice President, Operations
As VP of Operations, John Linton is responsible for manufacturing and supply chain management. Dr. Linton has a strong background in operations, product development, marketing, and business development, with a focus on the wireless infrastructure business. He spent nearly 20 years at Glenayre Electronics in a variety of management roles including Senior VP R&D, Marketing and Product Management. During his tenure, Glenayre became the largest technology company in British Columbia, with annual sales in the wireless group of US$430 million. John also has experience in managing an early stage investment fund, and he is on the board of several technology startups. Dr. Linton holds an undergraduate degree in engineering physics from the University of British Columbia and graduate degrees in geophysics from UBC and York University.

Kirsten Schwarz, CA

Chief Financial Officer
Kirsten is responsible for the Financial and Administrative functions at Dyaptive. With over 15 years experience in the high technology industry, she has particular expertise in managing the Financial and Operational aspects of growth orientated companies. Additionally, she has been a key player in getting two companies listed on the Canadian exchanges.

Prior to joining Dyaptive, Kirsten was the CFO for several companies, including Inimex Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Syspro Systems Inc . She obtained her Chartered Account designation while working at Deloitte and Touche Chartered Accountants, and also holds a Bachelor of Finance from the University of British Columbia.

Herbert Horn

Vice President, Research & Development
Mr. Horn has over 20 years of experience in Software Engineering, Engineering Management, Product Management and introducing new products to market in the Telecommunication Industry. Prior to joining Dyaptive in 2004, Mr. Horn was the Engineering Manager at Nxtphase Corporation for two years. Previous to this, Mr. Horn held various positions over a 15 year period at Glenayre Electronics, a leading provider of wireless technologies. He served as Director of Engineering for paging infrastructure products and had overall responsibility as Director of Product Management for Enhanced Services and Unified Messaging/Communication products for the CDMA/GSM and paging market. Additionally, he served in several other senior management positions at Glenayre. Prior to joining Glenayre, Mr. Horn worked at Siemens AG and Triumph-Adler AG in Germany. Mr. Horn holds a degree in Electrical Engineering.
