Joe Sutherland

Prior to assuming his current position as President and CEO of Dyaptive Systems Inc. in Feb 2009, Mr. Sutherland successfully executed a turnaround and positive exit of Navtel Communications Inc, an Ontario-based, communications Software Company, to EXFO Electro-Optical of Quebec City.

Mr. Joseph Sutherland was appointed Vice-President and General Manager of Navtel Product Group in March 2008, following EXFO's acquisition of Navtel. Mr. Sutherland was President of Navtel Communications Inc. group within the Netest Corp. organization. from 2005 to 2008, and from 1976 to 1998. In this role, he was responsible for growing the company from inception to over $40 million in revenue with several hundred employees. During his tenure at Navtel, Mr. Sutherland raised significant venture capital, conducted several acquisitions and successfully divested Navtel to a large European public company. After divesture, he continued on as Divisional President of GN Nettest and was part of the executive management team, participating in numerous acquisition and strategy development activities until his retirement in 1998. Prior to resuming his functions as President of Navtel in 2005, Mr. Sutherland served on several boards. Namely, from 1998 until his successful exit in 2004, he was Chairman of the Board of Toogood Financial Systems; a financial software company based in Richmond Hill, Ontario .Mr. Sutherland completed an Executive Management Program in Marketing and Sales Management at the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Andrew MacKenzie

Prior to joining Dyaptive Systems Inc. in August 2010, Mr. Mackenzie founded Imeasure Systems which developed mobile applications for solar installers. On January 2010 Imeasure Systems was acquired by California based Solmetric Corp., a provider or instrumentation solutions to the solar industry.

Before staring Imeasure Systems, Mr. Mackenzie held senior management positions at Agilent Technologies/Hewlett Packard from November 1989 to September 2007. Over this period he was instrumental in building the several very successful product lines in SONET/SDH, ATM and IP performance test. In his role as Vice President of Product Development, Data Networks Division he grew a new the operation from a "start-up" with six engineers to a division with revenues of $80M and a R&D team of 150. Prior to Hewlett Packard, Mr.Mackenzie held positions with BNR/Nortel, Ottawa, Canada and Plessey Telecommunications Research, UK. Mr Mackenzie has a BSc Electronic Engineering degree with Honours from Robert Gordon Institute of Technology, Aberdeen Scotland.

Kirsten Schwarz, CA

Chief Financial Officer
Kirsten is responsible for the Financial and Administrative functions at Dyaptive. With over 15 years experience in the high technology industry, she has particular expertise in managing the Financial and Operational aspects of growth orientated companies. Additionally, she has been a key player in getting two companies listed on the Canadian exchanges.

Prior to joining Dyaptive, Kirsten was the CFO for several companies, including   Inimex Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Syspro Systems Inc . She obtained her Chartered Account designation while working at Deloitte and Touche Chartered Accountants, and also holds a Bachelor of Finance from the University of British Columbia.  

Steve Szabo

Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Steve co-founded Dyaptive Systems in 2001. He assembled a team with deep expertise in CDMA technology and boot-strapped Dyaptive's growth through consulting projects. These consulting projects helped fund development of Dyaptive's flagship product, the DMTS-8000. Steve was successful in securing government funding and a top-tier wireless infrastructure manufacturer as a lead-customer to help fund DMTS-8000 development.

Prior to Dyaptive and after years of working as an embedded-systems design engineer, Steve ran his contract consulting business specialized in design of real-time embedded systems for telecommunications.

Steve has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario.

Steve has responsibilities for Dyaptive's global sales, applications engineering, customer service and quality assurance.
