Product of the Month. Dyaptive Takes Guesswork out of Cellular Planning
November, 2004 - In 2003 alone, US Bancorp estimated that wireless carriers collectively spent $36 billion on wireless infrastructure. inCode Telecom reports that 12 percent of this total was for network optimization and deployment. Despite the cost of these elements, wireless operators have not had a cost-effective tool other than the ‘Can you hear me now?’ method for predictable and repeatable tests of problems an operator may encounter in the field...Enter Dyaptive Systems and the DMTS (Dyaptive Mobile Terminal Simulator)-8000.

CDMA base-station test toolkit taps software-defined radio
October 1 , 2004 - To provide code-division, multiple-access (CDMA) base-station manufacturers and network operators a tool for testing and tuning networks for optimal performance, Vancouver, Canada-based startup Dyaptive Systems has launched a simulation tool that can cost-effectively perform deterministic, repeatable tests and re-create problems detected in the field. In essence, it can tune infrastructure for optimal performance even in the most challenging periods of network activity, according to the developer.
Software radio lowers cost of CDMA basestation test
September 20, 2004 - Manhasset, N.Y. - Citing its new system's density, determinism, repeatability and reconfigurability, startup Dyaptive Systems Inc. has introduced a software-defined test rig that it believes will lower the risk and cost of CDMA basestation testing. Based on a shared-physical-layer approach, the system obviates the need for banks of discrete handsets and allows CDMA vendors and operators to optimize their equipment for a market where the users' quality experience is everything, the company said.
